Atkinson Designs.

A website and a brand you own outright.

Fixed price, live in three weeks or less, and the finished work is yours to keep.

The full length of the Saltbush and Smoke homepage: a dark hero reading Native heat, small batch, always traceable, then a three-part section on what the brand does differently, a row of four bottle products with prices, and a comparison table set on pale stock.

What this is

Most small businesses don't need a big website. They need one that loads fast on a phone, says clearly what they do, and doesn't make a first-time customer wonder whether the business is still running.

That's what this is. Three fixed packages, prices on the page, and a written guide at the end telling you exactly where every file goes.

A section of the Saltbush and Smoke shop: four sauce bottles in rust, acid green, deep plum and amber on a near-black ground, each with a name, a price and a small five-step heat scale beneath it.

Self-initiated concept study

Saltbush & Smoke

A native-ingredient hot sauce brand built end to end as a demonstration of the Full Brand Suite: identity, five pages, a heat scale that is deliberately not red, and batch-level traceability built into the product pages.

Built to show what the top package covers, on an invented brand rather than a client's. No part of this was commissioned.

What I make

What I make

WebsitesOne to five pages, built mobile first, fast enough to load on a phone in the sun.
Brand identityColour, type and a logo, with a guide so it still looks like you in a year.
Logo designRefined from what you have on Brand + Site, or drawn from scratch on the Full Brand Suite.
Local searchOn-page SEO and structured data, so you turn up when someone nearby searches for what you do.
Print and socialA print-ready business card and reusable social templates, on the Full Brand Suite.

How it works

  1. A conversation, not a questionnaire

You will never be asked to pick a font. Direction comes out of how you describe your own business, in your own words.

  2. Direction shown, not described

Options arrive as things you can look at. If you can say which one feels right, that is all the design vocabulary this needs.

  3. A written placement guide

Files are not handed over as a folder. Every job ends with a plain document saying which file goes where, ordered so the ones that matter most get done first.

The process in full

Early morning at Shelly Beach, before the sun's properly up. The water flat grey-green, the sandstone still wet and dark.
A physiotherapist, asked what colour the business should be.

Three colours, drawn straight out of that sentence, shown back as something to look at rather than described.

The placement guide. One page, in order of what will make the most difference.

The work is yours, and it leaves with you.

I register the domain and keep it renewed, so it is one less thing to remember, and it transfers into your name free whenever you ask. The Google Business Profile is verified by you. The logo, the files and the site itself are yours once the build is paid for. Stop the upkeep whenever you like and it all goes with you, working, to whoever you hand it to next.

How the handover works

Tell me what is not working.

A referral looked you up and didn't call. A customer couldn't find you. The contact form has been broken for months and you only just noticed. Any of those is a reasonable place to start.

Write four lines about the business and what is going wrong. You get a reply within one business day with a time we can meet. The price is not something you have to ask for; it is already on this page.

A reply comes within one business day with a time to meet. Both numbers for every package are already above.
